The feed out holes are pretty much the same as the 1300 tap.

The flow rate through the float bowls when in PRIME position is just a tiny bit less than the standard tap (in my opinion) & more than enough to feed the cards I would say.

Its all a bit of a mystery, as the GPZ900 has 4 carbs all with float bowls & the 1300 only has 3 (each just a little bit larger) which I would expect would balance out.

What really confuses me is this is a well documented & used upgrade which many owners are using & not had the problem.

The bike sits on idle no problem even when revving it. Its only after a few minutes above 60 mph when it starves (obviously running out of fuel) for some reason.

I cannot be bothered to fight with it any longer............going back to old (leaky) standard tap with inline tap after it !!

I agree maybe the regular tap is your best bet in this case :).

I could be wrong, but your bike is very well kept and looks to be more efficient than others. The extra consumption from add-ons like more efficient intake, custom exhaust, perfectly tuned carbs etc. may have put that petcock beneath your bike's needs when under continuous use.

At least that might explain why other's haven't had much trouble with it :).

At present i'll just be using it as a "normal" fuel tap, till I get around to doing the vacuum line, run her in the prime position , park it in the on or res position. Was thinking of going to a hobby shop to look at fuel line connections for gas powered model planes, there should be some small nipples I can use there, or make my own
