The 1300 Voyagers sold in the USA (1984 - 1989) NEVER had carburetors. They had Mikuni fuel injection from the beginning of production.

Are you certain the motorcycle in question is really a 1300 Voyager? If so, it is possible someone retrofitted carburetors, or the engine has been swapped for an earlier KZ1300 engine.

Yep, I presume the seller knows what he has, get him to count the amount of cylinders he has, if its missing two tell him he has a 1200

some interesting reading on the 1300 Voyager. To my knowledge, all 1300 Voyagers had mikuni DFI. the kz 1300 touring had carbs.

found this pic of the kz 1300 touring....this bike had carbs and was not a "voyager"

Hm. Curiouser and curiouser.

Here's the link:

Yes, the front is an abomination. That would go away pretty damn quickly.

Owner says that it does indeed have carburetors; 6 carbs in banks of 2.

Side panels say VOYAGER.

It's hard to tell whether those are carbs or an EFI setup.

Thoughts?
