Before I discovered that my fuel levels were too high and were the cause of my too rich condition I plugged the ports that feed the coaster enrichment system with epoxy so that the high vacuum signal, that opens the enrichment system, never reaches the diaphragm. This made the whole system vestigial. Did this four years ago and I've never had a problem. As I previously said, I consider some minor poping on deceleration normal.
