The seals are on the throttle body (Butterfly) shafts on the side of the carb bodies. Ref the microfiche, and you can get a good view on where they are.

Since everyone uses a different mix or Brew in their ultrasonic cleaner, inquire what they use to make sure it is not damaging to those oil seals. ("Oil Seal" is what Kawasaki's nomenclature is.)

It's best to leave the throttle body butterflies in place. It's easy to do more damage than good if you try to remove them.

ok, thanks..

are these soft rubber seals? do you think there's a big chance they can be damaged already from me using carbcleaner?? I sprayed the springs that are on the shafts because they were very dirty. :(

well, didn't do much for some time, but at it again now.

middle carb channels from main to pilot jets where both clogged, witch I guess was the problem the 2 middle cylinders where not idling but running when riding.

after flushing, see pictures, while using cloth in the carbs not hurting the shaft seals, it poors out the pilot/idle screw hole like the other 4.
Can I now be pretty sure the idle circuit is clean? I didn't find any others channels to be clogged.

The problem you describe is a transition port issue. In the top of the throttle bore at the throttle plate are 3 tiny ports which feed fuel progressively as you transition from idle to the main circuit. If 2 of the 3 ports are clogged, it will idle ok but not run properly until it gets up around 1800-2000 rpm. The only way to check clear these ports is by blowing compressed air through the 3 ports with the idle air screws out to reverse flow the air and any debris back out to where the idle air jets are. I took my air gun for the compressed air hose and made up a copper tube with a 90 deg. bend in it to be able to blow these 3 ports out. Works great. Then you can take your brake cleaner and fill up the circuit at the idle air screw port and blow it through the circuit with the compressed air and watch at the 3 transition ports.

Ok, I will check those before rebuilding.

It was going from idling on 4 to riding on 6 without any trouble before I took the cabs of though, quite smoothly actualy..

btw, which chanel/hole deliveres the fuel in the main bore while idling?

carbs back together, I hope I did a decent job cleaning them.
I will put everthing back on the bike this weekend and start setting them up!
