Well done Bruce ! a lot of satisfaction in making your own parts as opposed to just buying them off the shelf . A lot of skill and time went into this obviously.....and i enjoyed reading your words ,and following along with the progress ! .....now that winter is almost over, get out there and enjoy the ride ! ............................Tony

Sure you would, TIm! It's just a matter of knowing the three basic points of connecting a sidecar, then putting a square block in a square hole, and a round block in a round hole. Or, in this case, running a round tube through a square vent opening! This is my fourth installation, and I had one of the best teachers back in the early '80's.

What exemplary workmanship. Built to last - like the Voyager. I would be interested to see a photo or two of your workshop, and the machine tools you have.

No you wouldn't! But, here are a few snaps of my mess! Most of the fabrication work goes on in my basement. It's a constant run up and down the stairs and outside to measure and fit everything to the bike/sidecar, which sit outside on the patio under covers. In Califrnia I had a 3000sq.ft. shop, with a Bridgeport mill and a nice little Logan turret lathe. I do have some equipment out in my garage,, like a lift table for the bikes.

OK, you asked for it! Not my fault if you pull some rib muscles laughing!

Here's my "workbench" ! The current job on deck is another Hondasaki drive conversion being set in the jig for welding.



Here's my welding and tire shop!



This is my welding table. Yeah, I do a lot of shuffling around to get any work done!



This is my mill. Someday it may grow up into a Bridgeport!



And, my lathe bench.



Sandblaster, bicycle workbench, portable theater (TV), fireplace, and a bunch of trikes hanging from the rafters.



Last, but most used, the dirty area! Cutting and grinding.

So impressed ! I have heard it said before ,that the tools DON'T make the man...... it's all about who is using them ! ....and I think you are proving this here again ! great job Bruce ! now.....how mad is Cindy when she want's to use her washer and dryer.....or do you do that too?
