G'day All,
Previously owned a 1983 Candy Apple Red carbie Z1300, which eventually had a sidecar put on it and gave it to my parents to ride aroud Oz.
Just picked up a non running 1/1986 Z1300 (ZGT30A) Fuel Injected for a sweet price. I will be needing some parts to get it together including sidestand and sidecovers and RHS airbox covers.
Imagine there will be lots of questions to you all.
Thanks for a great resource!!

Well done on the new purchase. Any reason why the plugs are missing? Looks mainly complete with a lot of the hard to get bits present so well done there. You'll know that Z1300 parts aren't cheap (e.g. I paid $500 for an OEM fuel tank gauge sender) so make sure you get yourself a copy of the parts manual so you can take advantage of cross use with KZ and ZG models and other Kawasakis (search by part number you'll be surprised what they used stuff on). I've just finsihed recommissioning mine and most of the time delay was due to searching for parts. You're in good hands here, best advice available (not mine BTW)!

Yes, Welcome to the forum. glad to see you've already managed to upload pics. We LOVE pics !!!
Lots of available help with your questions on the site. Take some time to read the KZ1300FAQ section and get your head wrapped around some of the things that have caused problems with this model and some of the resolves are posted in that FAQ section. When you get stuck and find yourself banging your head against the wall, feel free to ask for help. We're here for you.

I ordered a preloved sidestand today, as this bike had a sidecar at one stage.
Few more pictures
A little bit of sorting out to do . . .
