New owner from El Paso
8 years 5 months ago - 8 years 5 months ago
I'm a grad student at UTEP and recently bought a 1979 KZ1300 in bad shape to part out and while talking to someone about it found a complete and well cared for 1982 up in Albuquerque. So I had to have it! It needs new fork seals, fluids all around, battery, etc. Not my first rodeo though. I've completely restored a 1982 Suzuki GS1100G recently which is my daily. So I'm looking forward to getting this new bike up and running. She sure is a beauty. I'm pretty active over at thegsresources.com so I was very glad to find this forum about the KZ and am looking forward to contributing here.

Great finds, if you were in the UK you could sell the pair for $4000 + because we are mad for them, I'm sure you paid a lot less...enjoy

Would love to get my hands on the A1 you have to re-build, that's the one to get stuck into and appreciate your achievement at the end of the day. I would lose the body kit on the A4 you have and leave it at that, but then that's me hate to see these bikes overdressed with suitcases. Best of luck sure you will get lots of advice
