Hi

Trealised I had joined but not said hi. So Hi!
My name is paul and I am from Brisbane Australia.
I have a lovely old Z1300 in the garage that is about to undergo a nice thorough service although I would more likely call it a rolling resto or recommission. She looks a bit tired and has an aftermarket exhaust, a king/queen seat and aftermarket paint job at least on teh tank. I have slowly assembled an OEM exhaust which will go off to the chromers shortly. I have also had the original recovered which looks awesome. The price of OEM grips is a surprise and of course my airbox dress covers are cactus so will have to hunt down a set of those. The brakes will need a rebuild as will the carbs. I had a lot of issues with leaks into the crank so will clean all that up as part of the recommision. I am getting quite excited about doing this as the few times I have roidden the bike I have been impressed with the torque.... the first time I rode it I was grateful for the KQ seat as otherwise I would have gone off the back of the seat!!
Looking forwrad to sharing your collective wisdom.
Cheers
Pkay

Welcome to the club! There is lots of help and wisdom available here.
I too am in the middle of a rolling resto. I would have quit months ago if it were not for this place.
Good luck.

Welcome to THE place and good luck with your ongoing Project. They are rare, but they are pretty (if you like the weight).
