Welcome to the site! From your pics it looks like a good set of guages and and a cleanup/polish job would make that bike look good! Most of your work looks like it will be with the carbs to make it run.

Yeah I was thinking a nice digital gauge cluster. They are pricey at $300 but I would rather spend that on a new one then spend the same amount on one off eBay that who knows if even works properly. Hopefully all I have to do is some aesthetic stuff and the carbs, but my luck is never that good. Going to start by doing a compression check on the cylinders to make sure we dont have any leaks, a bent valve would ruin my day for sure.

It's only showing 10K on the clock so I would imagine that mechanically you SHOULD be fine, but prudence would have you check everything. Check check check................

Welcome to the forum and enjoy. B4 you do a compression check, pour a little oil into the cylinders and turn over. Makes a big difference re the readings. All the best with your restoration, and remember Rome was not built in a day and a Z1300 restoration is the same. Parts are the problem :whistle:.
