Carb Gumming

im expecting my carbs to be in this state when I get them off and stripped ,

lol Hopefully not Sprocket, however I wouldn't perceive it as a daunting task to do, Scotch has written an excellent article which is well worth a read and of great assistance, as he said any issues ask before a good set ends up with damage, especially on the primary jet removal they like to stick in the thread and don't always just drop out, game of patience and care, correct size screwdrivers, stop if things are not going to plan and re-assess. Oz at Zed Parts in Bromsgrove can do for you if not sure at a cost. However investing in a good Ultra Sonic Cleaner and a carb repair kit isn't a bad idea.

thanks mark ,I hope to start on the strip down this weekend if possible , I have my own business so Im a bit short on free time sometimes ,nice to know there is someone out there to take a carb refirb on though ,
im going to make a shopping list as I strip it, they have told me it has been stood for many yrs so the carbs will with out a doubt need serious attention ,
