Next project, flush the cooling system and mount a 8 blade fan.

Friggin awesome looking fan, does it bolt straight on ?, or will it mount inside the z1300 fan shroud??, been trying for years to get a Muzzy Aluminium fan blade but they won't make them, I think it's because I want one, a multi blade fan would be good in Australia, it's coming into summer, cheers Pete

I guess that projekt is of interest to a lot of people since my information so far has been
that only the original fan will fit, no other.
Please keep us posted how you solved it (wishing you sucscess)

That is a tight spot for a fan. Replacing the 1036 fan switch with a 1026 did wonders for cooling. I really don't need a 6 blade fan. We'll see for sure when summer returns.

Does that mean you've done a replacement already ?
Can you please share with us what you did exactly ?

The only way to get a larger fan in that tight spot is to remount the radiator toward the front fender and that wouldn't leave a lot of room for front suspension travel. The two best options for me are to get a Muzzy fan blade and/or a 1026 fan switch. The 1026 Voyager fan switch turns the fan on just past the middle right of the temp gauge and turns off just left of the middle of the temp gauge. In my opinion the 1036 kz1300 fan switch is a poor design.
