A spring pin is a silly name for a spiral wound pin which is made of a piece of tool steel sheet metal and wound up like a roll of toilet paper. When the pin is inserted in a bore, the pin holds itself in place by spring tension in the bore.

You should be able to pick up a spiral wound pin from a good hardware store or automotive supplier etc. just size it slightly larger than the bore and press it in.
