Voyager brake calipers was created by kwak1261
Are the Voyager front brakes calipers a straight swap for the normal round calipers ?
and are they any better at stopping. im looking for a quick bolt on improvement at the moment, ill organise some 4 pot nissins at a later date.

I believe that they're identical, KZ to Voyager. I'll look each over this evening and let you know then.

Ebay item number
they take a bigger brake pad, i was just wondering if they perform better than the round pad type.

Hi Ian,
Thanks for making me look at the two front ends. I'd never noticed that the 85 ZN has different brakes than my 81 KZ. The disks look similar but I've not played with them enough to know if the parts will swap.
Is bigger better? Probably.
Good catch!

Hadn't noticed this post till just now lol. There's alot of differences in the diagrams when you look at the two bikes. The rotor on the zn doesn't have that center hub and the mounting bracketry looks different for starters. If you go forward with it you might want to make sure it'll mount up the same.
I wouldn't expect a noticeable increase in brake performance with just a slightly bigger pad. The brake is still a single piston design. If you stayed with your current calipers you could instead use the money to get pads with better material, have new braided steel lines fabricated, and make sure that your fluid is fresh and bled of any air. At that point there should be a noticeable improvement in brake performance .
