It's all good it's been a little while since I've had one of the cylinders apart so I've forgotten exactly what the seals looked like. That would be my fault!

Those kind of fine details don't show up on the fiche either. Thanks for the heads up!

Don't know about tapered seals, but kits that include various sized flat sided o-rings can still be sourced. There's hydraulic kits out there so it might be worth looking into later lol.

If I ever wind up doing this kind of thing with my bike I'll make sure to post my finding here :).

Mikez,

If you look at the image below, its a photo of the FRONT MASTER cylinder seals & piston kit.

The rear one is pretty much identical.

On this you can see the Tapered Type Seals I meant ?

Why Have Four When You Can Have Six ?

Right on I see what you mean. Looking around I've found that those seals are usually called epdm brake rubber cup seals.

They're commonly used in hydraulic applications. I'm looking at different kits right now to see if I can find someone that sells assortments lol.

Sorry for all the posts lol. I wonder if it was possible to assemble a kit of edpm seals, have it ordered in bulk, and sell them on Ebay or something since noone else is offering them.

Looking at sites like this:
www.alliedmetrics.com/seals/hydraulic-seals/

It looks like you just need to provide the measurements. Interesting...

Buy the kit for the front and take the seals off the piston and put on your rear piston they are the same size. Now as to the bore being bad as suggested you can drill it out and hone it. Or there is another option and that is to sleeve the bore .
