what color to paint... looking for opinions

I am in the process of reassembling my engine and thinking about my body work. I'm still not sure how I want to paint it. Its factory Ebony paint is in fair shape, I could leave it or I could redo it all.

I did the engine in black with polished covers so it would look kind of like this one does





I like this, but I wonder if a bright color wouldn't look better, like a candy red (with GT stripes) or the famous kawi green maybe.

Any suggestions?

The candy apple was always nice, and original colour, just don't do it gold

I don't know.... I think that the "starlight blue" of the original KZ1300 is the best looking color ever put to a motorcycle, but that's just me.

I made the mistake of painting my 13 gold as well some years ago
I like the Kawasaki green, harks back to the Eddie Lawson Z1000s & suits the Z1300 well IMO

Owned a gold car once, gave it away, couldnt get anyone to buy it.
bought a gold GS1000S that was a mistake. painted it blue.
stick with the ebony or go with the eddie lawson green.
ive just have my Z1000 paintwork done in the latest Kawasaki Green and i was stunned
its a real vibrant green that really shouts Loud.
ill take a pic of the tank tomorrow and post it.

Just taken these , still waiting to get a Pringles tap so the tank lives on the spare sofa under a blanket at the mo.
