First pic Old tensioning nylon sprocket with a new nylon sprocket less bearing from Kawasaki OEM.

New head gaskets still available from Kawi.. just ordered one for my 79 A1. 200 USD. <ouch>

I finally have got to the bottom of is causing the rattling noises coming from the Z13
i firstly measured the camchain stretch over 20 links as per manual came out at 126.9mm therefore OK
the nylon idler cog has a bit of free play in all directions so while the head is off going to replace that (already purchased)
then we come to the rubber tensioner roller, it is showing signs of wear
