That's a M12 I need a M10. I may just attempt to tap it out to a M12 and be done with it. I have a a extra non running parts motor I'll practice on before I attempt it on my working 1300. I think it's a pain to go through but in the long run it will make it a better bike.Have plans to add a side car in the future.

I recently changed a lot of bolts to stainless on my z13 and when chasing a few hard to get threads i come across this guy.
lathedog
Might be worth asking him if he can help you out as he does a lot of odd size bolts nuts etc.

I picked up a M12 1.25 LH tap on Fleabay for $13. Not sure on the quality since it's from China. But I only need it for a one time deal so think it will work.

Hey Guys I know there are some members here that want to add the additional stator to there older KZ1300 like me.The dilemma is the that bolt to hold it all together and where to get it. I have contacted many machine shops around the USA and I found one in Georgia that will make you the hardened steel bolt you need. The name of the company is West Georgia Machine & Fabrication Email:westgamachine@gmail.com phone:229-921-4677 Owner Jerry Hortman.Real nice guy and the price I was quoted was around $65 compared to the 1K I was quoted from ARP.Tell him Ken from KZ1300.com sent you ;)
