DFI kill switch is turning my oil light on ?

Yes, now that I have found page 318 and the oil level warning system wiring diagram, it has made everthing a lot clearer.
However one of the ignition coils melted whilst I had the ignition on, so have to replace with a new one, which arrived today.
So getting closer.

It's hard to understand how this happened. The pick-up coils need to be magnetically energized by a rotating reluctor  so they can trigger a Darlington transistor to close and energize a coil. The only way to fry an ignition coil is by energizing it continuously. This used to happen in the older bikes with points in the ignition if you left the key on for a long time while working on the bike.

Air Temperature Sensor fault. Likely a bad connection.

Ok now i have three error codes : engine and air temp ,throttle position
Also have power to the coils but no spark when cranking bike.
Plot  thickens, is there a test for the ignitor, does have some burn damage back there.

cheers

Correct, the coil was energised continuously which why I fried it.
Went looking for a crossed wire and found an entire crossed plug, need new glasses!
Reversed the plugs and it started on four.
Have still got one dfi error , air sensor , however have a new one and they are directional so may explain it.
thank you all
