electrical problem

The under seat switch on my 79 never worked right from day one. It would blow a fuse in the 'Off' position every time. Clearly a short somewhere but the Dealer (not surprisingly) could not figure it out. I just left it alone but I'm pretty confident I could figure it out now if I had too
