Extra plug on a 1980 A-model

I don't think the colours are right, and I think it should be a 3 pin connector, but could it be for an oil level sensor?

The radiator fan is wired directly to the battery as well, but again, I don't think the colors match up. You'd also need the temperature switch closed to get power to it anyway..... It's a thought, I suppose.
