Reminiscing bygone years

Hi all, was digging around in a box of old photos, found a few of another 13 I had, and a few mates, and other odds and ends, thought i'd share, at least I hope they will be seen by someone else before my kids throw them out after I die :-)

Me and my wife and kid and a few mates back in the early 80's

The 13 I had in the 80's with radio in chair and driving light (all the latest and best, heck it was an FM radio and stereo)

Me driving around the house with the chair in the air, kept it up all the way around

I carried a bridesmaid to a mates wedding in mine

The Grooms bike with the bride in it and the father of the bride, heck that safari suit looks groovey, we won't go into the "sissy bar" on the bike, but what the heck is that bikini fairing off of, it's not a proper 13 one ????

Pete,

Those are great pics!

Rode all the way around with the car in the air. Impressive.

Rode all the way around with the car in the air on dirt. Astonishing.

Thanks for posting them.

Just set me thinking (don't say it) this is the first house I have been in that I can actually ride round.
That Pic with the chair up Pete looks like it could be out Pine Mountain way going by the vegetation. Have you always been an Ipswich Lad?

Always around Ipswich mate, born here, i'm out "where the Brisbane and Bremer rivers met" way, had 40 acres, got sub-divided, only ended up with 6000 square meters what ever that is in acres, terrible country, no top soil no grass, heck even rabbits cross my place with a cut lunch. Missus passed away almost 10 years ago, just me and a cat a daughter gave me, feral thing, might get some more cattle dogs one day, the place ain't changed much, still hardly any grass, but more "proper" sheds for the stuff we blokes collect.
Funny story I heard years ago, use to be an airstrip out here during WW2, farmer was walking over strip and woke up a Yank guard, guard jumped up and nearly shot him, he thought it was one of those "killer kangaroos" coming to get him, think someone was telling him a few non-truths, well at least he wasn't mauled by a drop bear :-)
