Moto GP- What's Happening

Well, all that Sepang stuff was entertaining. We managed to slow the bikes down significantly, not all that easy a task.

It was simply miserable hot and humid. I can't wait until we go to Losail, that place is also a living Hades, so hot, the race is flagged off at a balmy 110 degrees/F. at 11:00 PM, because if it were run in the day, the riders would simply melt.

Well, seems we are losing Tech 3 at the end of the year, and at that, there is a quamdary, what to do for Zarco? He would have a contract with Tech until at least the end of this year, but, IF we all know Herve, he will lock him into something longer, and that means we would lose him.

I agree with Herve on this one regarding the agreement with Yamaha, they are NOT a factory team, they are a contracted satellite team, with NO real direct support for factory trace parts. Tech BUYS, or leases everything, and they receive NO factory financial support from Yamaha, which is really interesting, since Zarco's bike isn't slow, nor handles like a Honda (BAD).

I would have liked to see this year thatr we had a 3 rider facory team, Vale', Maverick, Zarco, but, that won't happen.

I sure hope Herve likes paid frustration, he'll get it in full doses with KTM.

KTM's were not impressive, they were very slow.

Doivi did well, rode a good race, MM was his usual dangerous selfish little moron.

We had a few issues from a new kid not grasping the whole situation, a satellite team member excelling, and tires, engines having issues

At least, we can go forward to racing in the daylight, and not at 111 degrees in the shade. .

I really enjoy reading your inside review on the Moto GP circuit. Please continue to advise us. I haven't been following the circuit over the past 20 odd years and why I'm not sure. I breathe in oxygen and exhaust Klotz. 118 octane runs in my blood and as far as hearing goes, if the sound isn't above 200Hz (12,000 cycles/min or rpm), I can't hear it (just ask the wife)

Kawboy , should be interested- there are two ways that you can watch MotoGP. You can subscribe to the Motogp web site and take out a subscription for a year but you also need high speed internet and a big enough data package and live stream all the practices and all 3 classes plus World Super Bike . Or, like I do is pay $16 month extra to BellTV and get BE IN Sports - mainly a soccer tv channel but they provided all MotoGP classes , Wsbk and Moto America ( the old AMA superbike seires ) which was resurrected by Wayne Rainey and friends a few years ago.

Sundays race was brilliant and if it is anything to go by, we are in for another great season.
In my mind anyway Marc Marquez is the best rider out there this year. Yes, the Honda didn't win on Sunday , but it was only a loss by about .02 of a second. The Qatar race suited the Ducati with its 10km /hr higher top speed over everyone else so the drag race to the finish line was going in Ducati's favour.
But the big surprise is the "old guy " . A third place for Rossi at 39 years old- he's about 20 years older than some of the other riders. Great action

Enjoyed the race on Sunday, good to see Dovi and Marc fighting again and that Vale was close to them - looks like a great year ahead.
I would put money on Alex Rins surprising a few of the established guys this year and Johan Zarco being at HRC (or taking Lorenzo's seat at Ducati) in 2019 - genuinely think he deserves it.
