The age old dilemma - or should that be the dilemma of old age ?
There was a recent write up in a big cycle mag about whether 3 wheelers, or in this modern era, trikes, should be rode tested in a motorcycle magazine - the question being- were they really motorcycles. But the more basic question was really the dilemma all of us will face sooner or later and that is - what to do when 2 wheels are too much, and the decision of stopping riding all together or taking on one of the ever increasing other options of riding/ driving something with three wheels.
Twenty years ago, the only option really was a side car, or if you were really wealthy, a Morgan 3 wheeler. More recently I see more and more Harley and Gold Wing trikes with their accompanying high price tags.
At our yearly toy run , of over 1000 bikers this past september we see the usual number of Can Am`s - I counted about 10 but then the advent of the new Polaris Slingshot- of which there were 2 on the ride.

Just got home last night from a 2 day, 1400 mile road trip to pick up the sidecar! Long driving days, but well worth it. Now, it's MINE! All MINE!
