OEM quality reproduction Carb-Floats

Further to my general comment/inquiry regarding carb-floats I have been in touch with a reputable Carb. manufacturing company that has expressed an interest in reproducing the KZ1300 Mikuni Float. I am anticipating sending photos and measurements to them within the next few weeks. I am currently waiting for an original float to be mailed to me by another member (Bill). I was originally thinking of making brass floats as I did for myself however the potential logistics make this highly impractical. At this time I have no cost numbers and will not have any until the company first assesses the info I will be sending them. Tooling costs will be the major expense. I have been informed by my contact that the initial minimum production run will be 2000 pcs which would re-equip 666 1300's ( 3 floats per machine). I can not commit unless I have a clear understanding of the demand/commitment of other carbed 1300's owners. Respond to this topic if interested, please. Thanks: Scotch
