Holy 1300's Bobman!
That's one beautiful modification!
I've had the exact problem you ran into with the plastic floats becoming fuel soaked. My solution was to bend the tang further but now I'm wondering if it will only be a temporary fix.

Bear with me here . You did a great job with the floats thanks for the ideas I been wondering about that. Now on the GM coil can you do pictures on that like you did for the floats cause the post in the info page leave a lot to be desired and for what I am reading getting coils for my bike may be a pain in the ass. I am still running the factor ones but the boots are shot. Any help here would be wonderful.

I actually did the same type of tutorial for The GM coil conversion years ago, sent it to "David" and it was posted from: "Bob form Canada". The coil was from an '88 Pontiac Grand Am 3.8litre. The choice was based solely on getting the correct resistance with the stock ballast resister. I had to randomly remove several coil-packs before finally choosing this one. It sits in the tool tray as in the similar article I believe you are referring to. I used for 1/4" nylon bolts to hold it to the tray ( The coil pack mounting holes were the correct size for tapping for 1/4". The wiring was very strait-forward. connections were all soldered and "shrinked".
