Hey Pete,

Still running 91, hadn't thought of 95, might give that a go next fill. Worth a try.
Restored an 1976 Suzuki GT550B
Restored an 1982 Kawasaki Z1300 A4.
Also rides a 2014 Triumph Rocket Roadster, 2300cc of pure fun.

Finally got her running as she should be. Had to readjust the float height to get rid of a slight heasitation on initial throttle. Dropped the needle down 1 notch, I know the puritans will be grimacing with that.
Bench set the throttle synchronizing as per the manual and readjusted the mixtures to 4 turns out.
Fitted the carbs back on the bike and cranked her up.
Set the vacuum gauges up and checked the sync, which was pretty much perfect from the bench.
Got my colortune out and set the idle mixtures with this. Haven't used this before but what a marvelous bit of kit it is, makes life so much easier.
Refitted everything and took for a road test, perfect, again accelerates well, no hesitations or missing. Pulls strongly and holds a cruising speed with no dramas.
Pulled the plugs and checked them, all a nice colour, no black or sooty residue.
I am stoked. Now to put the old girl to use on a more regular basis. Woohoo.......

One last update , hopefully. Just took the tappet cover off so I could retension the head as I have done about 500km since my rebuild.
Checked the head bolt tensions, all good. Thought I would re-check the valve clearances, where I found four valves tight. Changed the shims out and rechecked, all good now.
Put the old girl back together and went for a run.
Nice to have the fuel gauge working again. What a blast, I so enjoy riding the 13, she is so much fun.

Anyway, thank you again one and all for your assistance and support.

I hope that in some way I may be able to return the favor in the future.
