Firstly I never altered the adjustments on the floats because up until now there had been no problem. As for the petrol tap, I haven't looked at this yet. Not sure if it's a conventional tap or a vacuum tap. How can I tell?
Thanks for the advice.
Cheers Leroy
Welcome to KZ1300.com!
I'm sure that you haven't fiddled with the float tangs. The problem is a result of our fuels being blended with Alcohol. I believe the alcohol is absorbed into the foam plastic floats making them heavier. Many of us have encountered this issue. There are two fixes: First set the fuel heights by the wet method, you will probably have to bend the tangs significantly. Second, switch your floats over to some of Scotch's brass beauties. Even with Scotch's brass floats you'll have to use the wet method to set the correct fuel height but at least your new setting will hold for the long term.
Best of luck.

Thanks for that, my tap only has one pipe to the carbs so I presume its a normal tap rather than a vac tap
