I went off on a rally in Zimbabwe a few weeks back and took along the trailer, which I might add, was fully loaded for the occasion. Well, the not so wonderful brakes on the 13 didn't cope very well when a herd of cows came charging across the road and I had to reduce speed from a comfortable 120 - 130 km/h to zero in what seemed like no space at all. The trailer pushed the rear wheel and had me sideways in no time, almost into a high-side. Thankfully, I kept all intact and somehow avoided the cows! Phew!!! Well, having told the story, the nett result was to install a self braking system on the trailer. What a difference they have made!

that is a very nice looking trailer.

I'll bet the cow braking incident was very scary! I had an experience in Wales 35 years ago when I turned a bend at speed to find sheep all over the road - I scrubbed off as much speed as I could and then the sheep miraculously got out of the way like the parting of the waves
