Not thinking a complete strip down like Stans project, but something in between. The bikes has been off the road for 17 years. Needs to check the entire bike. There are some rust on the frame, especially where the mounted bracket for windjammer fairing was placed. Don’t like that. So thinking to powder coated the frame. The oil smells like gasoline, I believe the gas has come through the injectors. Must check the rubber insulators.
The front and rear shocks needs a complete rebuild, the same is for the brakes. I’m going to replace the swing arm bearings and steering bearings ++ long story short, a lot of work. I like to do a proper job, right at once.

The bike starts, but will not idle. Most likely because of the injectors is not completely thight. The bike looks better in the picture than in real life. But it’s a special bike and I love it. I have no rush, I have another’s bike to run in the meantime. :)

Did you change the oil before running?

I'd hate to think what petrol can do to bearings & can lobes..
