Hi guys,
the ZG1300DFI is a little rattled these days. Can someone advice where I need to start looking to remedy the problem
it is a 1984 European model
it has done 57K
the nylon cam gear has worn although at the last look there was still some teeth there albeit well worn
hopefully the video has uploaded
well the video upload didn’t work, bugger
thanks in advance Gavin

An update of the rattley Z1300, just checked the play on the Nylon camchain cog and there is quite a lot of free play both forward and back as well as side to side and diagonally I.e it’s wobbly, has any of you guys seen this before and what should I do.

I 'm curious about the mileage ? Good chance (without seeing them) that the Nylon Sprocket and Rubber-Roller for the CCT are worn significantly.
LISKA RACING sells a Steel replacement for the gear and also (recently) the rubber roller. The cyl.-head has to come off. FORSETTI will supply an "open" replacement chain. Relatively easy to pull the new chain thru using the old chain - then connect the ends, A chain-tool is require to re-flare the link pins. Naturally a new head-gasket as well.
