undefined Hi Gents
think i may have misidentified my z1300 model number, looking at the first registration of 1981 and the fact it has an inspection window on the left hand casing i assumed it was an A3 but looking at the chassis and engine numbers it would appear to be an A4, can anyone confirm if the A4 has an inspection window on the left hand side if not then possibly someone has stuck an A3 casing on my bike which would suggest the cases are interchangeable
thanks for any help

Frame number, engine number and pictures make answering a lot easier.

Hi Paul,
Your engine is definitely A4 because the serial number is 15543 and my A4 is 15544.
See picture of my bike's historical vehicle document!

Hi Paul,
That might be the case with Z1300s but on the US KZ models there is the extra alternator of A4 which makes the cover very bulky. The gasket shape is the same on all carb models so you should be able to fit any cover from A1 to A5.
Is your bike a Z or KZ? It might be that somebody has removed the extra alternator and has put the A3 cover on it.
