Hello Lee, I have an A-4 also.

The fuel tap can be rebuilt, if I recall correctly there are two O-Rings in there.

As for the fuel cap, try checking for a blockage in the fuel vent, the one that exits the tank under the front part of the seat. If you blow it out with air, you run the risk of contaminating your fuel and tank. I suggest you drain the tank and blow it out from the back where it exits the tank. Rinse it out with alcohol, let dry, then re-fill. It's a lot of work, but if your carbs are in good shape, you don't want to risk getting debris in your carbs.

Before you go to all of this work, you could blow with a hose to see if you feel any restriction. Everything from dirt, rust, to insects have been known to reside in that passage. The upper end of this internal vent is not accessible from inside the tank. Which is why you need to work from the bottom up on that passage.

If it's not vent related, you could disassemble your fuel cap and take a look inside.

Hi Lee,

Welcome to KZ1300.com!

Just a suggestion, but your posts would be easier to read if you left off the caps lock.
