I just recently signed up to your forum in hopes of finding out a bit more information about the KZ1300A2. By the way, what is the difference from the B2?? I've found a nice bike in excellent condition and am curious to know it's value. It has 24,000 miles on it, but looks original and has great care. Is there any service, or failures associated with these bikes once they reach this milage? All information, or suggestions will be helpful in determining whether to buy...

Hi there Alaska welcome to our corner of the www
I have owned an A1 since new but to be honest know little of the various models but AFAIK the B1 etc. was the faired version and the A version the naked.
23000miles is low but out of the ordinary as the low mile ones are the ones that survived.
It is very hard to put a value on it, what I would suggest is to have a look around the various sales sites like fleabay and craigslist. you should be able to find a few for sale and that will give you an idea of value. Bear in mind that Australian prices seem to be higher than US or Euro. Often the real value is what is it worth to you to own a true classic and that anything is only worth as much as you can sell it for.

It looks like a really nice bike. The guy is asking $3000 for it, but i've only seen pictures. I'll have a better idea of it's condition when i see it in person. On a scale of 1-10, the owner says it's an 8..... Appreciate the reply!

Hi Alaska,

Welcome to KZ1300.COM!

The KZ1300-A2 was a 1980 KZ1300 (standard, if you will).
The KZ1300-B2 was the touring model of the same year.

If I was looking for a 13 and it was an 8 of 10 I wouldn't let $3,000.00 stop me, not with just 24K on the clock.
Be sure to review the FAQ section to learn about the usual issues. If you have any questions I'm sure that. collectively, we have the answers.

Best of luck
