Hi, I have a Kawasaki Voyager ZN1300 1985. The bike was run perfect for the last 10 years, the bike was seating for the last 6 month. The battery go bad so I install a New battery, the bike start on the first start and I let it run for 5 minute, then I tern the engine off and go home to get my helmet and gear just to go for a spin around the block, I try to start the bike and it didn`t start, I try about 10 time, still don’t start. I put some starter fluid. It run for a second, so I realized it is not electric problem it is a Fuel problem. This is what I checked so far: I put direct 12v to the fuel pump (the fuel pump is running, but the bike not), So pump OK, I check the fuel relay. It didn’t make the sound Tic-Tic when I turn the Ignition switch On-Off, So I pull the relay out .tested and it work fine (it make the sound tic-tic when I put 12v) so it is not the relay, But when I check with the volt meter the wire that go to the relay I see that the relay don’t get the 12v when I turn the ignition On, From that point I don’t know what to do. or what to check, any advice can Help, Thanks.

I have the same bike.

Just guessing here. I'd look at fuses first. If they're good, I'd wire up your volt meter to that supposedly hot wire on the relay, turn the key on and start moving the wire harnesses between the bike and the steering head. It's possible that you have an intermittent open in one of the circuits that have to survive the flexing.

Post your results and we'll get to the bottom of it.

Good Luck
