Another problem, got spark on 1 & 6 but will not fire up the in the cylinder, both pipes are cold but the other 4 get hot. Anyone got the firing order and what colour wires go to which coil. I think the previous owner might have gotten the wires mixed up. Thanks, Reid

Yes 1 & 6 are blk, 2 & 5 are grn and 3&4 are blue. When I connect the blk with the blk in the wiring harness I get nothing, when I connect the blk from the coil to grn or blue I get spark. I then screw in the plug and connect the blk to grn or blue I get no firing from cylinders 1 & 6, just wet plugs, but they spark outside the cylinder. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Reid.

It's not going to fire if your black HT coil is connected to either the green or blue pickups because the spark timing will be incorrect for 1 and 6.

You have established that it is not your HT coil so it must be either one of the ignition pickups or the ignitor.

If the plugs spark OUTSIDE of the cylinder, then they will spark inside.

This maybe too much fuel (flooding) from the carbs rather than an electrical issue, especially if the plugs are wet ??
Alternatively you may have valve problems letting compression out ?????
