Finally got the fuel pump to work for me. I purchased this FZR1000 fuel pump last year and when I initially did attempt to install last year the bike would run way too rich and flood out the motor. Some one suggested to install a brass tee and a 6AN bulk head fitting to the bottom of the tank and it works. The pump has resolved the vapor lock, starvation and makes it a lot easier to start. My only concern is that this pump wasn't really designed to run continuously I believe. It gets pretty HOT. I may switch to a NOS low pressure fuel pump to be on the safe side. It's Murphy s law with me. I have a feeling this pump if it does fail will happen at the most in opportune moment like a 18 wheeler barreling up my ass and need to accelerate rapidly to avoid getting squashed ;)

How about using a fuel pump from a Vmax 1200 ?
supplies fuel to 4 carbs with rubber tipped needle valves.
both engines use roughly the same amount of fuel.
just a thought

I had a mitsubishi fuel pump years ago because the forum chatter at the time suggested it was a good idea. But every once in a while, the center carb would flood , the pressure from the pump overpowering the rather fragile float bowl valve poring gasoline all over a hot engine. Not good.
The only time since, that a pump would be remotely useful is after the bike has sat for a week or so and the float bowls and some of the fuel line have evaporated dry of gasoline . I now just wait a minute or two longer and let gravity do its work - because once fuel is flowing from the tank , I can't see how the engine would ever require more than what gravity can supply.
Fuel pumps were never fitted as OEM - and the float valves were never designed to take even that minimal increase in pressure.
Not to mention all the extra plumbing and wiring in an already crowded space
Just my experience.
Thanks

Your right it can flood the motor that's why you need a return line to the fuel tank to relieve pressure. If not you will have the issues mentioned.
