Hi Ager,

Sorry but I don't understand what you're referring to. Perhaps if you referred to the service manual saying the part in Fig. 3 on page 237 or some such. Do you have a service manual? If not, you can download one from the home page of this site.

I just did this 2 weeks ago.

"google" "timing tape" and print the page of your preference.
.
My alternator rotor measured 119mm diameter (4.69").

The circumference calculated from that: (2 X Pi X radius) 2 X 3.14 X 59.5 = 373.66mm

373.66 divided by 360 = 1.04mm per degree. Scale your timing tape print so one of your tapes gives you 35 degrees of advance at a length of 36.5mm.

Cut it out, "laminate" it between two pieces of clear tape, trim as required. Clean the rotor of oil and tape to your rotor. I used a thin 2 sided tape and it worked well. Remember to remove it before replacing the Alt. cover.
Laminating it between 2 pieces of clear tape makes it reusable so when I was finished with it I put it in my manual (page 69) so I can find it easily for next time.

By all means check my #'s to your satisfaction. Worked for me. let me know.
