At last after 9 months collecting piece by piece, final parts arrived today in the form of down pipes and collector boxes. Quick polish and that 6 into 1 of mine can now be replaced to balance the bike out. This may sound like an easy task for the USA members but believe me it is really difficult to find these parts in the UK so today has been like Christmas for me.

Very nice Mark. Now that you've got a whole system any chance your success has been talking to you about searching out something only slightly more difficult, like the Holy Grail?
Congratulations

Lol Bill I think the Holy Grail might be easier for me, at least I live only 25 miles from Cornwall where King Arthur mythically started his search from, so a good starting point to go from.

Nice find. Took myself 12 months to get hold of a new system for mine. Lucky for me in the right place at the right time and got a full system minus left hand silencer and a new seat unit still in box for £800 :woohoo: Sold on the original seat unit for £250 and the old collector boxes for £250 after being welded up. Heard in the past that folk have paid up to £2k for an original exhaust system

Lol Aerial0 it's for sale at that price, yea I think it is just about a bit of luck, picked the cans up about a year ago, heat shields about 4 months ago and downpipes and collectors today. Could afford to take my time slowly sourcing when they came up at the right price. Already had a complete system, was just looking for some down pipes, 2,3. 4 and 5 to replace the ones I had, these needed a quick re-chrome and minor repair to one and all would have been good. They are still useable so actually have another complete system just not as good, along with a micron stainless 6 -1 at this moment in time am awash with exhausts which is actually a good position to be in. My aim was to fit all my bikes with twin systems so at moment have three fitted with stainless twins and this one to replace the micron.

Hi.

There is always the option to go full stainless and forget about rusting pipes and collector boxes. The alternative is available at:
www.kawasaki1300parts.com I know it is not original but it looks the same, functions the same and lasts forever.

Our spring is coming up here in Finland, snow is gone and temperature is up to +10 C, time to start the engines!

Ride safely, Lare
