Hello everyone...I'm in the process of buying an 1982 model with the small tank...I would like to install the bigger square tank from the 79 model... are these two bikes compatable to swap tanks????

Pretty sure it's all the same under the tank, take it off, have a look, take some measurements and look at the bigger tank before you buy it, or get some photos sent to you, easiest way

Yep.....the tank from a 79 bike will fit an 82 model frame with no problems.
