My new shocks arrived in the post today, and do they fit?. No they don't!!
The mounting holes are too small so I can't bolt them on. I will see if I can do anything with them tomorrow but it's not looking good. I have messaged the supplier but it's a bit soon to expect a reply. The annoying thing is, they really look good in the flesh.

How much "too small" are the eyelets. Could you not change out the bushings for a larger bushings that fits your mounting bolts?

McZed, sorry to hear of your issue - hope you can get it sorted OK.
If you dont get a positive result, you could touch base with Hagon Shocks (Hainault Essex) - they did a set for my 1979 A1, which look very close to the original fit items, and they were not too expensive .

Rather than mess about with them I sent them back to the German supplier, he claims to have the correct ones in stock. He implied it’s my fault the wrong ones were sent. When I asked him if they would fit my 1979 Kawasaki Z1300, and he replied “yes” I misunderstood. Apparently “yes” means “I haven’t a clue” in his part of Germany.

i think you will find that the metal bush centres push out to insert a larger bush.
i recently bought a set and they came with 2 sizes of bush depending on the pin size on the frame.
purely information now because you have returned them.

That's what I was implying on my previous post. Back in the 70's shock manufacturers used to just add a couple of extra bushings to accommodate different fits for different applications. Now they just supply with bushings as per application to save a few pennies.
