Hi Gents. Greetings from Phoenix. Long time rider here a stable full of machines - as well as a project pipeline. The most recent victim on the table has been an '83 Voyager that I put on a strict diet. Anything that didn't make the motorcycle go, stop, light up and stand up was jettisoned. It joins a couple of other 6 cylinder machines in the shop - a '79 CBX and a '97 Valkyrie. Love the wail of a six...

Anyway, VR750 Zephyr Tank, Harley Softail seat, Honda VT1100 Shadow rear fender. Front fender trimmed Voyager. Still have a few kinks to iron out as well as some final touches, but it has taken a short maiden voyage. Runs well. Leaks a little fuel and I'm having a little trouble keeping the stinking off-shore replacement vacuum petcock flowing gas.

Like I said, a work in progress. Looking forward to comparing notes and trading a few lies.

Hello DesertRefugee,
Your post sounds really familiar. I also have a Valk, mine's a 2000. I also have a chopped 1300 looks pretty similar.

Hey Bill. Yeah I posted over on kzrider when I acquired this beast. Thought I'd show the nearly done result here. There aren't a lot of naked Voyagers out there. No two are alike. There's not much Voyager left on mine except the motor and frame. Darn thing is satisfyingly quick for a big girl.

The Valkyrie is my baby. But in addition to the sixes, I also have a '78 Goldwing black beauty that I hotrodded some years back as well as a couple of SOHC CB750's. A lot of mouths to feed...

By the way, Bill, do you have a photo of your radiator installation? Curious to see that...

Hey DesertRefugee,
Here's my Valk:

And here's something of a view of the radiator location. I just stuck the stock unit onto the left side saddlebag mount. If I ever get back to it I'll build a custom radiator into something like a saddle bag. I will have to incorporate a booster pump as the piping is too long for the stock pump.

Wow! That’s a unique set up for sure. You might try dual radiators similar to what 1800 Goldwing does for easier integration.

Here is my current stable. (I’m primarily a Honda guy, but not a Honda snob. I’ve had a bunch of Kawasakis and loved them all - including this beast of a 1300).

The Valk, the CBX and the GL1000. I won’t go into the CB 750s as they are both projects… Unless there’s interest.
