Probably a stupid question: Is the deep sump required or recommended for the Dfi models?

Surely the DFI models were fitted with a deep sump when built?

Not able to find any details, thought it was better to ask? Not able to find details on oil capacity (Not collected (1987) bike yet, so unable to even check casing) wrote: WasntSurely the DFI models were fitted with a deep sump when built?

It'll be stamped on the filler neck of the clutch cover.

Edit.  On the ZN1300's, the filler neck is on the left side of the engine - not the clutch cover - is that that same with later DFI 1300 models?.

All the DFI models had the deep sump (6.2 litres).
