I was always,told 10w40 oil cools th3 engine faster than 20w50. so I use 10w40. Other people say thicker oil cools the engine. Anything definitive on this?

Have nice red carb Z from France. Oil light on. New oil and filter, level now well up. Located wires to pressure and level switches. Whatever you do with them, open circuit, or earth, the light is on solid. Noted the locked relay thing, but nothing under seat or in tail piece.
No idea where else could look?

Twigged it. Unless sit on bike and get it level, before switch on key, the level switch trips and light stays on.
