Hello all. First I would like to say that I am very happy to have found this forum last summer and wish I had registered sooner. I do not own a 1300 however my dad has a 1979 model year. Last summer, with the help of the information I found on here, I changed out the timing chain idler with great success. A little about myself, I may not have a 1300 but I'm a weekend warrior motorcycle bracket racer. I have a very modified 1979 Suzuki GS1000 drag bike that runs in the low 9 sec. range. I am also in the process of building a new bike with a custom chromeoly chassis and a Hayabusa fuel injected powerplant. I put a picture of my dragbike below.

I too spent a fair amount of time on the drag strips around here on my ZX12R. I've yet to take old 1300 down yet but I will this spring once I get my new clutch in.

Welcome from another Canadian. Seems that most of the "Kawasaki owners" seem to have Hot Rod blood. Love it!! Brand Loyalists for sure.

only ever hit the drag strip once, i used to road race, then some motocross/enduro
at the end of the day, it seems trying to ring the life out of a potentially dangerous object entices a lot of people
im at the start of trying to piece My ex USA 1300 into life
have found some of the guys here to be very helpful good luck
