Also perhaps a large diameter expansion joint...

If I hadn't seen you were from N.D. I would have thought this swingarm was removed from the bottom of the ocean. I've never seen that much corrosion in a Kawasaki shaft-drive motorcycle.

How long have you owned this bike? Could it have been revived after a flood?

Todd.

It surprised me, I was shocked the see piles of rust run out as I took it apart.

I have had this bike for a few years however not it driving condition. I bought it as a project. No idea how long this bike was sitting, a flood is possible... who knows?

It looks like it was submerged at one point. My barn find looks like it was partially submerged at one point as well. The left side of the frame was very rusted and the kick stand was really corroded as well.Kind of looked like a Titanic artifact.

Hi,

I supply the swing arm boot, it is listed on eBay.

Looks like this, made from NBR rubber with molding process, not glued together from discs. Very flexible, I installed it on my -82 without removing the swing arm. I just opened the fixing bolts at the engine end, pushed the flange back and wiggled the new boot in place.

Hope this helps, Lauri
