Have you checked your swing arm bearings or rear wheel bearings ?, can't see how a weak shockie could twist a rear swing arm to cause wander, that's a pretty solid swing arm, i'd think a bad bearing or wrongly adjusted bearing might cause side movement, not a shockie, but I am probably wrong

That's a good thought KZA13.

I stripped the bike completely, powdercoated the frame and replaced all bearings etc less than 200 miles ago. It could be that a bearing has failed, or that as it has bedded in that it needs tightening. There is no sideways movement when trying to move it, but I'll check that everything is tight again.

KZA, you were right on the money - it was a case of user error! I looked at the swingarm bolts, and realised that I had not put the lock nuts on the grub bolts!

Thanks for the pointers! All on now, and torqued up, so hopefully that will solve the problem!
