Hi guys
I am not having the normal overheating problems , the issue I have is the engine on my ZG1300 is not getting warm enough therefore the injection system is thinking the bike needs more fuel therefore running rich.
Anyone know if there are no Kawasaki thermostats that drop straight in, don’t want to pay what there asking for genuine
When you start adding the cost of new gaskets and “O” rings what on a car is a cheap job starts to become expensive on the Z13

NTC 82C also used in the Mitsubishi Eclipse 2006-2009 apparently. $18 at Auto Source.

82 C is 180 F and I like the idea of running at 180 F rather than 205 F.

What makes you think the engine isn't getting warm enough Gavin?

The reason is that the temp gauge only gets to the 1/4 stage if I am in traffic, if I am riding it only gets half way to the first Mark,

Perhaps I misunderstood what you are saying - you meant the temp. gauge goes up to 1/4 in traffic and 1/2 range when riding?
Shouldn't this be the other way around when all works fine? When in traffic it gets hot, when on the move it cools down. The other way is when the coolant doesn't circulate. Higher rpm's make the engine hot when riding, it cools down when in traffic. Perhaps your thermostat is bad all together, maybe some other problem? If you idle the bike in a parking lot it will warm up no matter what until the fan kicks in. Mine does that at about 1/2 temp. range after installing a ZN sensor. Your does as well since it doesn't go past 1/2, right?

When riding the gauge Never gets past the first mark I.e is running cold , I believe that when I burped the cooling system the thermostat stuck in the open position , therefore it stops the bike warming up, the computer then thinks that it is doing a cold start which needs more fuel
