The Metal Drive Gear is the same on all models regardless.

The actual Nylon Driven Gear on all models is the same too........but it is attached to a metal centre with splines & cannot be removed without damaging it.

It is the METAL CENTRE with splines on the Nylon Gear that is the different fitting. It is Longer on the A1 & A2 to drive the ignition pick ups & slightly shorter on the A3/A4/A5 as it is not needed due to the different ignition system.

I am 99% certain you can use the A1 & A2 Nylon Gear on all later models & fuel inj models (such as yours), but you CANNOT use the LATER nylon gear on the early A1 & A2 as the centre part is too short.

Our friend needs the NYLON Driven Gear which the metal one drives.

I made an offer on those cylinders, and the seller accepted. I bought stuff from that seller before, so I am confident that I will have these next week, and can move forward with rebuild.

Since I have the head off, I think I'll start replacing the valve stem seals over the weekend in readiness.
