When did the KZ13 go to the Mandated 85 mph speedo face ?

Can the speedo faces be changed to the "earlier" 160 mph ?

Who does them or can you just the purchase the face panel ? Is their a tutorial about it ?

Then the speedo would have to re-calculated ?

The 160mph speedo will fit straight on. The speedo drive is the same for both 80 and 160mph speedos (and the kph variants)

Great to know this zed_thirteen! I've inquired about it in the past, and there was a suggestion they might have different gears.
I'm planning to switch my 80 miles one to one with 240 km on it. Was it 240? I forgot... ;)
One thing I'd like to do is rewind the clock to exactly the same corresponding current miles, to have the real mileage on the bike and don't create confusion. Haven't gotten to it yet as I don't want to break anything.

I looked at Diablo Cycle's site ( reproduction decals ) and didn't see any speedo face decals for the square style of gauges the 13 has ?

I've heard of folks using a drill to 'wind up' their odometer to bring them back to zero. I had a partially melted speedo from an old Honda so I thought I'd give it a try just for investigative purposes. I found a drill was too slow though so I made an appropriate speedo drive-bit for my Dremel and tried that. At the Dremel's highest speed, the odometers numbers 'whizzed by' however, perhaps not surprisingly, the entire odometer mechanism eventually blew up.
