1979 kawasaki kz1300 touring has no spark. Where should I start looking? Also is there anywhere to buy a ignition switch?

Hi Jim,

Welcome to KZ1300.COM!

Do you have a manual? If not why don't you download it from this site? It's the third file in the list on the "Manuals" box at the upper right of most of these pages.

Does the bike crank over? If not check the second switch located in the left side side cover.
What do you know about the cam chain tensioner? Is it the stock unit?

Have you reviewed the FAQ which can be accessed from the top menu on any page.

Good Luck!

Ebay is your best friend when it comes to parts. If you wind up getting new coils, read up on the AW82-TRI conversion that has been discussed before in great detail on this site's forums :). It also helps to have all your connections soldered.
